Quick ratio
A measure of a company's liquidity, the quick ratio is computed as the sum of balance sheet entries for cash, marketable securities, and accounts receivable, divided by current liabilities. Because this ratio does not include inventories, it focuses attention on the ability of he firm to meet its current obligations if operations stopped immediately. A quick ratio of 1.0 is generally considered satisfactory. Also called the acid-test ratio.
